Risk becoming your best.

Risk being your best every day at Perk. In preparing individuals for success in college and life, we nurture common sense, a sense of justice, a sense of honor, a sense of responsibility and a sense of humor.

The Perkiomen School is a traditional coeducational college preparatory boarding and day school where structure, support, self-discipline, and integrity are valued. Perkiomen admits students in grades six through twelve and offers a year for postgraduate students.

Perk is located in Greater Philadelphia. Within walking distance of campus 50 shops, restaurants, banks, and salons are available for students. The Lehigh Valley is to the north (Allentown, Bethlehem, and Easton), Philadelphia is 49 miles to our south, and New York City is only 104 miles east. Perkiomen is convenient to some of the nation’s finest cultural and educational institutions, great shopping and entertainment, and beautiful countryside with skiing, mountain biking, kayaking, hiking, and much more.

What's happening on campus.

Faculty member, Bradley Hendershot, is far more than a history teacher. Mr. Hendershot is a world-famous watercolor painter. On October 19 he will be offering a demonstration and discussion of his painting at the Perkiomen Valley Art Center in Harleysville. The event begins at 7:30 p.m. The event is open to the public and is free of charge. It will be located at Encore Experiences (formerly known as the Harleysville Senior Center), 312 Alumni Avenue, Harleysville, PA. The lecture/demo should last approximately 1-1/2 hours.
All Perkiomen Sophomores and Juniors will take the PSATs on Wednesday, October 19. The students pre-bubbled their answer sheets this week and received the formal guide book. The Princeton Review has this to say about the PSAT: When you think about the PSAT, you probably think of it as a pre-SAT. While the PSAT is a great primer for the SAT (and even the ACT), it's way more than just a trial run for the real thing. More than 3.4 million high school students (mostly juniors and sophomores) take this nationwide, multiple-choice test every year.
Off Broadway @ Perk is the theme for Fall Family Weekend. Mark your calendars and come to campus on October 21 through 23. Friday night the Broadway lights will shine. The Jazz Combo will open the Hewett Concert with a selection of Ira Gershwin tunes. Then Leon Bates (https://www.youtube.com/user/leonbates) and Louise Toppin (http://louisetoppin.com/), the featured Hewett Concert performers will present a review of George Gershwin numbers.
