Throughout each year, Perkiomen has a number of opportunities for families to host international students for short visits. Families who have hosted in previous year comment that it is a wonderful experience that builds lifelong friendships. Looking ahead to the summer and fall, we are seeking several families to host international students.

Perk will kick off Poetry Month with poet Taylor Mali. Taylor will be on campus on Tuesday for a chapel presentation, lunch, and a workshop. Taylor Mali is one of the most well-known poets to have emerged from the poetry slam movement.

Each season, Perk teams, coaches, and parents gather to celebrate the athletic achievements. At this winter's award ceremony, the basketball, swimming, and track teams shared the highlights, the funny moments, and the athletes who stood out.

Perkiomen School is honored to receive an Education Alliance Grant for Math and Science from Exxon Mobil. The gift was presented to the school by the local Exxon manager.

On April 6, we will celebrate grandparents at Perkiomen. Last year, 125 grandparents joined us. We would love to have your child's grandparents join us for classes and lunch

As part of Perkiomen's celebration of Black History Month, students and faculty are participating in book discussions. The Upper School students may read March by John Lewis and Andrew Aydin and drawn by Nate Powell. The set of graphic novels tells the inside story of the Civil Rights Movement as seen through the eyes of Congressman John Lewis. The second selection is How to Be Black by Baratunde Thurston.

The dates are set for the Reading Olympics. The Middle School team will compete on March 23 and the Upper School team on March 28.

A powerful offensive and defensive force, during his senior year Devey earned national recognition when he was named to the All-State, Regional All-American, Parade Magazine All-American and McDonald's All-American teams. He was also offered a professional contract with the famed Tampa Bay Rowdies while still in high school.

For over a century, Perkiomen has celebrated the Christmas season with a vespers service. On Sunday, December 11 the Mesnier Chapel will be filled with the spirit of the season.

Headmaster Mark A. Devey announced this week the promotion of Lehigh Valley native Michael C. Foux to Executive Vice President for Finance and Business Development, CFO, effective immediately. Foux will continue to serve as Associate Headmaster of the school.

This fall, Perkiomen launched a new sport. Girls' Volleyball was added to the Perk roster of sports. The season was filled with great matches, and they made it to the playoffs in their inaugural season. Part of the winning dynamic was Frances Del Toro.

Financial Aid Applications for 2017-2018 are now being accepted. Families interested in applying for financial aid should do so by completing the Parent Financial Statement (PFS). The PFS must be filed by February 1, 2017 to be eligible for an aid award. Supporting documents must also be submitted by February 1, 2017.
