Where can I stay?

You can stay in a nostalgic dorm room on campus. Kreibel Hall suites can accommodate 1-4 people in rooms adjoined by a shared bathroom. Kreibel Hall has air conditioning and an elevator. Each room has two single beds, and sheets, a pillow, pillow case, blanket, two towels, and a wash cloth are provided for each guest. We are recommending this for couples and families. Best for couples or those wishing for private baths. (Limited space available, priority given to 50th Reunion Class).

Kolbe Hall (new dorm) has single or double rooms with a semi private bathroom. Kolbe Hall is air conditioned and has an elevator.

What about hotel accommodations nearby? If you are looking to stay off campus, the closest hotel is the Globe Inn followed by the hotels near the PA Turnpike in Quakertown. The Inn at Bear Creek provides a full service hotel experience. Here is a link to local hotel information.

How do I get to Perk? It has been awhile!

Air, Train, Plane or Bus

  • Driving Directions: Perkiomen’s address is 200 Seminary Street, Pennsburg, PA 18073
  • Airports: The closest major airports are Philadelphia International Airport (PHL) and Lehigh Valley International (ABE). If you are interested in ride sharing please contact the Alumni Office.
  • Train Stations: 30th Street Station in Philadelphia, located approximately one hour from campus, is the closest Amtrak Station. Norristown, PA also has a train station that is approximately 40 minutes away by taxi and is accessible from the Philadelphia Airport.
  • Car Services and Cabs: Call J & J Transportation at 1-800-726-5466 or 610-776-1516. Call Valley Cab Company at 215-679-6215.

Where do I park when I arrive?

For those visiting for the day, there is parking available at Schumo Academic Center, Parents Hall and along Second Street. Overnight guests in Kriebel Hall may park behind Kreibel Hall and enter in the lower level Second Street side. Overnight guests staying in Kolbe Hall may park behind Kolbe Hall.

What should I wear/pack?

The Welcome Celebration on Friday evening is country club casual, and the rest of the weekend is casual. One thing we can’t control is the weather; check the forecast and be prepared for hot, rainy, or chilly weather.

Unsure about country club casual? Here is a link to the Wall Street Journal definition.

Can I bring my spouse, partner or significant other?

Of course! We welcome all guests to our campus. It’s a great way to share your Perk experience with those you love.

How about my children? Is the weekend family friendly?

The events on Saturday are fun and family friendly! Saturday’s lunch includes a kids’ buffet, and there is a small playground on campus for younger children.

The Welcome Celebration on Friday is a more formal event and may not be enjoyable for younger children.

Can I use the gym and fitness facilities?

The Hollenbach Athletic Center Fitness Center will be open on Saturday from 8:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. for those interested in working out.

Can I make a gift to Perkiomen in advance of the reunion?

Yes you can it is a wonderful way to begin the celebration. Click here to make a donation.
