Academics
The Perkiomen School is an independent, co-educational, college preparatory school dedicated to the pursuit of academic excellence within a caring and personalized setting (5 to 1 student teacher ratio). Our curriculum challenges students to become inquisitive and independent learners. We provide opportunities for intellectual and creative exploration within a diverse and trusting faculty and student environment. In the spring of 2009, Perkiomen students tested in 18 Advanced Placement subjects. Perkiomen seeks to foster self-confidence, respect, and integrity in our students so that they may become responsible citizens in the local and international community.
The AP courses available include the following: Art History, Biology, Calculus AB, Calculus BC, Chemistry, Computer Science A, English Literature, English Language, European History, U.S. Government and Politics, Latin Literature, Physics B, Spanish Language, Spanish Literature, Statistics, Studio Art [drawing and 2-dimensional (studio or photography)], and U.S. History.
