Bruce Brittingham '12 Announced as 2026 Commencement Speaker

Head of School Mark A. Devey announced that alumnus Bruce Brittingham, Class of 2012, will speak at Perkiomen School’s 151st commencement on May 23, 2026. Perkiomen School will confer degrees on 109 members of the Class of 2026.

Brittingham, of Trenton, N.J., is a Financial Advisor and former Division I multi-sport athlete. He has centered his professional career around discipline, resilience, and a great understanding of the power in genuine relationships.

“Returning to Perkiomen more than a decade later,” says Brittingham, “I am sharing not only a story of achievement, but one of perseverance, discipline, and purpose. I am passionate about helping the next generation understand that success is not defined by a straight path, but by the ability to keep moving forward no matter the obstacles.”

Transferring to Perkiomen School from Trenton Central High School prior to his sophomore year, Brittingham quickly made an impact. As a standout two-sport athlete, he earned three MVP awards in basketball and two in football, while also receiving All-State honors in both sports. His performance led to Division I recruitment from programs including the University of Connecticut, Temple University, University of Massachusetts, and Wagner College.

Brittingham ultimately chose Wagner College for the rare opportunity to compete in both Division I football and basketball and develop an over-arching business mindset. Despite facing injuries along the way, he demonstrated resilience and leadership, finishing his senior football season strong to include nearly 100 tackles as a starting strong safety, competing and contributing to two Northeast Conference (NEC) football championships, one NEC basketball championship and one National Invitation Tournament (NIT) basketball appearance.

He graduated from Wagner College in 2016 with a bachelor’s degree in business, concentrating in finance. Today, Brittingham is a fully licensed Financial Advisor specializing in wealth management strategies for business owners, C-suite executives, and athletes. His work focuses on financial planning, investment management, tax-efficient strategies, estate planning, and navigating complex compensation structures. He currently manages a book of business with millions in assets under management.

“Bruce’s return to campus as our Commencement Speaker is especially meaningful because he embodies so many of the values we hope to instill in our students – resilience, perseverance, leadership, and purpose,” says Devey. “We are grateful to welcome him back to Perkiomen as an accomplished alumnus whose story will inspire the Class of 2026 as they embark on their own personal journeys.”
