Colin Kelton '85 to speak at Cum Laude Induction and Institute Distinction Ceremony

Head of School Mark A. Devey announced that Colin Kelton ‘85 will speak at Perkiomen School’s Cum Laude Induction and Institute Distinction Ceremony on Monday, May 4, 2026.

Colin Kelton has dedicated 36 years to a career at Vanguard, a leading investment management company, where he rose to serve as Chief Marketing Officer and later Chief Communications Officer. He led the firm’s global marketing, brand, and communications strategy during a period of extraordinary growth, playing a key role in transforming Vanguard’s marketing operations, launching its first global brand campaign, and guiding communications through major leadership transitions. Kelton also served as CEO and Board Chair of Vanguard Investments Australia, where he led the company to the top position in exchange-traded funds and expanded its presence in retirement services.

“As a graduate of Perkiomen who grew up on our campus, Colin Kelton has a unique perspective on what it means to be an impactful member of our community,” says Mark A. Devey, Head of School. “As a student, he was all-in, as an athlete, performer, and editor-in-chief of the student newspaper and now as an adult, he has demonstrated an ongoing commitment to independent school education. We are honored to welcome Colin back as a featured speaker, where he will have an opportunity to share his experiences as a leader within the business and communications sectors.”

Kelton holds a B.S. in Economics from Pennsylvania State University and an M.B.A. from Drexel University. He is a graduate of Harvard Business School’s Advanced Management Program and the Australian Institute of Company Directors. Kelton serves the greater community as the Board Chair of The Shipley School in Bryn Mawr, Pa. and on the board of Elevate 215, a nonprofit funneling private investments into the Philadelphia School System.

Induction into the Cum Laude Society recognizes the academic achievement of students in secondary schools for the purpose of promoting excellence (Areté), justice (Diké), and honor (Timé). Institute Distinction honors are given to those students pursuing a capstone project and formal recognition of their work within one of Perkiomen’s four Institutes: Artificial Intelligence, Entrepreneurship, Design or Medicine.

The event is an opportunity to see first-hand the success Perkiomen School students can achieve when they embrace the school’s motto to risk becoming their best.
