On April 27, 2024, the Perkiomen School community gathered to celebrate a milestone in the Our Moment to Lead Campaign.
The groundbreaking for the new Student Center marks the first phase of The Our Moment to Lead Campaign, a comprehensive capital campaign that plans for the growth of Perkiomen School’s campus and will support long-awaited, high value capital projects that will expand and modernize the campus.
Construction is estimated to take 12-18 months to complete.
"From the time I arrived at Perkiomen, I evaluated the school's strengths, and what opportunities might allow the school to grow and thrive," says Head of School Mark A. Devey. "After opening the Innovation Center, an outgrowth of the Carnegie Library, which laid the foundation for our four Institutes, my attention rested on building community. On our present campus, Robbie's is the center of social activity. When the school was smaller, Robbie's was an adequate space to bring people together. As our school has grown our needs have changed."
The Student Center will serve as a hub in the center of campus, creating numerous student spaces in one location, including a café, bookstore, teaching kitchen, music and arts rooms, TV studio, gaming room, and meeting spaces.
