TLC Co-Directors Announced

For the 2025-2026 academic year at Perkiomen School, Michelle Squitieri will join Michael Romasco as Co-Directors of The Learning Center. The following year she will take over as The Learning Center Director. This shift in leadership will allow Mr. Romasco to take a step back and allow Ms. Squitieri to take on additional responsibilities, while both continue to work alongside Sam Glavin '18 to support our neurodiverse community.

This is Ms. Squitieri's sixth year at Perkiomen. She brings a dynamic blend of academic expertise, research insight, and personal experience as a neurodiverse learner to her new role as Co-Director of The Learning Center. Ms. Squitieri is pursuing her Ph.D. in Special Education at Lehigh University; she specializes in research in inclusive language and evidence-based education practices in special education documents. Her research has been featured in leading peer-reviewed journals and international conferences.

Before joining TLC in a leadership role, Squitieri served as a dedicated Learning Specialist at Perkiomen, where she built strong relationships with students and faculty while providing individualized academic support. Her previous experience spans secondary and elementary education in both public and international settings, including roles in Maryland, Austria, and Switzerland. She holds certifications in Special Education, English, and Social Studies across multiple states and actively contributes to professional organizations such as the Council for Exceptional Children and the Council for Learning Disabilities.

A passionate advocate for student growth and teacher development, Squitieri is excited to continue advancing TLC’s mission of empowering learners through personalized, compassionate, and evidence-based support. She is also a member of Project RISE a multi-cohort longitudinal design study funded through the Institute of Education Sciences.
