Speakers Announced for Perkiomen School Celebrations

Perkiomen School’s Head of School Mark A. Devey shared the names of the community members with the honor of speaking during the school’s year-end celebrations.

Mia Frizzell, of Gilbertsville, Pa., and Sarah Beth Hughes, of Sumneytown, Pa. have earned the honor of being named Co-Valedictorians. They will address the class during Commencement Exercises, May 23, 2026, on the Campus Sward starting at 10 am.

Frizzell and Hughes have the top academic standing in the Class of 2026, having both taken 17 Advanced Placement courses. Both are leaders within the Model UN club, serve as Writing Fellows, and are members of the Cum Laude society.

Frizzell is a member of the Volleyball and Softball teams and has performed in several school musicals and with the choir. She also serves as host of the school’s Cookies & Cupolas podcast. Frizzell will attend Brown University with a dual major in modern culture and media and economics.

Hughes is active with the Science Olympiad team and the Griffin Yearbook staff. She contributed athletically as a member of the Swimming and Volleyball teams. Hughes will attend Dartmouth University and major in physics and English.

Hue Ree Lim, of Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, has earned the distinction of Salutatorian. She has distinguished herself with excellent academic standing, taking nine Advanced Placement classes. She has also been actively involved in the arts, performing in school musicals and earning awards for her sculpture and 3D artwork. Lim was a recipient of the Dr. Edward M. Friedman ’61 and Carol J. Friedman Perkiomen School Scholarship to attend the Maine College of Art & Design (MECA&D) intensive 3-week Pre-college Program. Lim was also a member of the Cross-Country team and was named to the Cum Laude Society. She will attend New York University.

In addition to Commencement speakers, Devey announced the Baccalaureate Service speakers, who were nominated by the members of the Class of 2026. Assistant Head of School for Student Life Amber Goupil will deliver the faculty remarks and Sebastian Sanchez Quiterio, of Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic, will represent the class.

The Middle School Moving Up Ceremony, to be held on May 20, will feature eighth grade speakers Mia Stubblefield, of Coopersburg, Pa., and Danny Yaralov, of Barto, Pa.
