Head of School Mark A. Devey announced that The Rev. Gregory M. Wilson, MDiv, MSS, LCSW ’94 will speak at Perkiomen School’s Cum Laude Induction and Institute Distinction Ceremony on Monday, April 29, 2024.

Ordained for 22 years, Rev. Greg Wilson is an Episcopal Priest and therapist in the Delaware Valley. Rev. Wilson has served as Vicar at Trinty Episcopal “Old Swedes” Church in Swedesboro, N.J. since 2019.

Since 2010, he has served in diverse congregational settings, ranging from small to large. Prior to congregational work, Rev. Wilson began his church career in campus ministry.  He served locally and founded campus ministries at Bryn Mawr/Haverford Colleges and a joint Lutheran and Episcopal Campus Ministry at Temple University. During his career, Wilson has served in a variety of local and national leadership roles in the Episcopal Church. In addition to his congregational duties, Wilson also enjoys mentoring new clergy. He serves as Emotional Health Faculty for week-long, recently ordained clergy retreats sponsored by the Presbyterian Church (USA) Board of Pensions.

Wilson is also a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in Pennsylvania, New Jersey, and Delaware. He owns two counseling practices: Sage Counseling in Newtown Square, Pa. and Current Counseling Services in Middletown, Del. Wilson has worked in private counseling practice since 2015 and specializes in couples counseling, ADHD, and faith-based counseling. In his past work and training as a social worker, Wilson worked in settings including a partial hospitalization behavioral health unit, community mental health centers, and an inpatient hospice unit.

In 2012, Wilson received his MSS from the Graduate School of Social Work and Social Research at Bryn Mawr College. In 2002, he received his MDiv from Episcopal Divinity School in Cambridge, Mass. After completing the University of Delaware’s Undergraduate Neuroscience Program, Wilson received his BA in 1998.

“We are honored to welcome Greg Wilson ’94 back to Perkiomen School to share in this special event,” says Devey. “As we celebrate the academic achievements of our students, Rev. Wilson’s years of experience and education, including his time at Perkiomen, will provide them with a unique perspective on leadership and service to individuals as well as the wider community.”

Induction into the Cum Laude Society recognizes the academic achievement of students in secondary schools for the purpose of promoting excellence (Areté), justice (Diké), and honor (Timé). Institute Distinction honors are given to those students pursuing a capstone project and formal recognition of their work within one of Perkiomen’s four Institutes: Artificial Intelligence, Entrepreneurship, Design or Medicine.
