Where Scholars Compete: How Perkiomen Helps Student-Athletes Achieve More

Every student arrives at Perkiomen with different goals, interests, and aspirations. Some are looking to challenge themselves academically. Others are focused on athletics, leadership opportunities, the arts, or preparing for college. Here, they discover a community that encourages them to pursue all of it.

Excellence isn’t a choice between academics and athletics. It’s both.

At Perkiomen School, our student-athletes are challenged to compete at the highest level – in the classroom, on the field, and in life. With small classes, dedicated faculty, experienced coaches, and a community that knows every student, we help young people become their very best.

More Than Wins. More Than Grades.

Families shouldn’t have to choose between a school known for academics and one known for athletics.

At Perkiomen, students discover they can pursue both.

Whether they’re preparing for AP exams, presenting Medical Institute research, rehearsing for the school musical, or playing in a game at the HAC, our students are encouraged to explore every part of who they are.

Because success isn’t measured by one scoreboard.

It’s measured by the confidence, resilience, and character students build every day.

Eight members of the Class of 2026 have been recognized as Academic All-Americans by the National High School Coaches Association (NHSCA).

Together, We Risk Becoming Our Best.

The best teams are built on trust. So are the best schools.

At Perkiomen, teammates become roommates, classmates become friends, and coaches become mentors. Students from around the world come together in one close-knit community where everyone is encouraged to challenge themselves and support one another. Differences are affirmed and celebrated.

Every Perkiomen student also has a built-in support system through our Advisory program. Small groups of students meet regularly with a faculty advisor who knows them well, creating a trusted space where they can ask questions, share challenges, and be themselves.

When students feel like they belong, they’re willing to take risks. That’s when growth happens.

Student-Athletes Are Students First.

Students at Perkiomen are challenged to excel wherever their passions take them.

With an average class size of 12, students are known by their teachers and supported in their learning. A dedicated conference period each academic day gives students time to connect with faculty, ask questions, and deepen their learning experience. Evening study hours for Boarding Students helps with time management.

Students can pursue their interests through 27 Advanced Placement® courses and 20 Honors courses, while three full-time college counselors help them prepare for what comes next.

The Learning Center (TLC) at Perkiomen School provides services for neurodiverse students with learning differences. This comprehensive learning support program includes a full-time academic class, 1:1 customized support, and multifaceted progress monitoring.

Our coaches expect students to work hard in competition. Our teachers expect the same in the classroom.

The result is a culture where academics aren’t something athletes fit in; they’re part of who they are.

Your Uniform Isn’t Your Identity.

It’s one part of your story.

At Perkiomen, students are encouraged to explore every side of who they are.

They build solutions in the AI Institute, work with real-world challenges in the Medical Institute, develop business ideas in the Entrepreneur Institute, and create through the Design Institute.

Students also perform in the Winter Musical, play in the Rock Band, compete in Model UN, participate in community service, and discover new opportunities across campus and beyond.

Because growth happens in more than one arena.

More Than a School

The Perkiomen experience is about more than preparing students for their next game.

It’s about helping students discover what they’re capable of achieving when they are challenged, supported, and encouraged to pursue every opportunity in front of them.

At Perkiomen, scholars compete. And in the process, they become their best.
