International Student Life

International students are an essential aspect of community and diversity here at Perkiomen. We value celebrating the different cultures each prospective student holds with events such as the Lunar New Year dinner, holiday observations, and various cultural festivals. This page aims to further welcome international students and know the stories behind their journeys to Perkiomen.

As a student of Perkiomen School committed to social justice, inclusion, and diversity, I am dedicated to promoting different cultures, especially those that I am surrounded by daily. Here at Perkiomen, half of our students are international and come from over 30 countries. As a Filipina student at Perkiomen, I enjoy showing pieces of my culture to the people around me; as a result, alongside Emma Zhao, I organized the first annual Cultural Festival to promote an exchange of cultures between students. To further the promotion of students’ backgrounds and cultures, I play a part in the creation of this page, with hopes that other students are interested in sharing their culture as much as I am!

“We are all different, which is great because we are all unique. Without diversity life would be very boring” - Catherine Pulsifer

As an international student from Rwanda and Class of 2018, I believe we should showcase and celebrate all the different nationalities represented in our small community. This page allows all of you to hear and learn more about our international students’ backgrounds and cultures.

I'm from Cameroon and a member of the Class of 2018. Diversity is a great part of the world and should be represented everywhere; that is what this page is about. As a student from another country and continent in this school, I have the opportunity to meet different people from different parts of the globe and discover different cultures. I'm happy to have had the chance to meet so many people and I hope you'll do the same.
