Letter from the Head of School
Dear Perkiomen Community,
In a letter I sent out last fall, I quoted presidential historian Doris Kearns Goodwin who said that resiliency is leadership through frustration. That struck me as fitting then and strikes me again now, as we find ourselves again in a place where the health and safety of our community is threatened.
With rapidly increasing transmission of the Delta variant, we are adjusting our policy on mask wearing. Although this will limit some interaction in the days ahead, it is crucial that we remain focused on those things we can control in order to set our community up for success. We have made the decision to return to masking indoors for the start of school.
Effective Saturday, August 21, 2021, the following protocols will be in place on campus:
We will keep the lines of communication open and share specific details of any modifications or calendar changes if necessary. Our community did an excellent job of continuing in-person instruction throughout last year, and we must keep this momentum going. Our individual choices have a collective impact.
Thank you for your patience, cooperation, and dedication to Perkiomen School. Sincerely, Mark A. Devey Head of School
