Diversity & Inclusion @ Boarding School
Welcome to DIBS!
Perkiomen School is thrilled to announce the second annual Diversity & Inclusion @ Boarding School Conference on Saturday, April 9, from 10 am to 2 pm EDT.
DIBS offers separate experiences for high school students and faculty aimed at the unique challenges facing boarding schools. Our mission is to help schools and attendants:
- Foster an understanding and appreciation of diversity, inclusion, and justice.
- Build a deeper sense of community by bridging day and boarding student experiences, engaging students across social and national lines.
- Develop a deeper sense of cultural appreciation and cultural humility.
- Cultivate a sense of empowerment to confront complex issues on and off campuses.
Registration is now OPEN!
This year, our conference will be held virtually via Zoom. Cost per participant is $15.
Students and faculty may register themselves at the link below. For group registrations, please contact tsmith@perkiomen.org.
You will receive an email with the program, Zoom links, and passcodes on the afternoon of April 8. If you do not, please contact tsmith@perkiomen.org

Keynote Speaker: Olivier Joseph

Williams College, BA, 2017 - Chemistry, Africana Studies, Spanish
Perkiomen School, 2013
“I’ve reached this level of success because of my Village - my network of support. It’s only right that with each step I make through medicine, I remind myself to look back and make sure that I’m taking people with me and uplifting them.”- Olivier Joseph
Whether it was helping to start the Mid-Atlantic Region Diversity Conference when he was a student here at Perkiomen, his work as a Fulbright Scholar, or what he’s doing for patient advocacy now as a medical student, Olivier has always been focused on creating a sense of belonging. Not just for himself, but for everyone around him. It was fantastic getting to work beside him shaping Perkiomen’s Diversity Collaborative a few years ago, and I am thrilled to have him back to headline DIBS this year.
