Purple & Gold Games
P&G Team Leaders have put together a program spanning from January to May. Team meetings, community service, staying active, producing art, gaming, competitions all earn you points while having fun! See below for details.
GENERAL
• At least 10 members of your team must participate in challenges, but there is no limit to participants
• At least 2 times zones must be represented, more time zones = more points
• Students & Faculty can earn points
TEAM MEETINGS
• Twice Monthly via Zoom
• Teams can also set up group messaging or other ways to communicate
• 1 point per member in attendance at a meeting
COMMUNITY SERVICE
- 20 points go to any team for organizing an event or action
- 1 point received for each person who engages in a service project
STAY ACTIVE Campaign: send screenshots of an app or device that records your distance OR some other method of proof
- Walking = 2 points per mile
- Biking = 1 point per mile
- Swimming = 10 points per mile
- push-ups, sit ups, (body weight exercises) = 1 point per 5 reps
- Yoga or CrossFit Workout = 5 points per full workout
Monthly/Weekly CHALLENGES by theme: several smaller and/or asynchronous challenges culminating in an end of month larger scale, live event. Live & Asynchronous Challenges – attendance earns a point with more points available through competition.
